I started The Funhouse Family Day Care in 2004. Since then, I have been happily serving young families with parents who are working and looking for a safe and registered childcare provider to entrust their children with.
My Educational and Work Background
I started my career as a teacher at a junior high school just 2 months after I successfully completed my Master's
degree in Psychology. Later on, I moved on to work as a high school teacher and taught social sciences.
I worked as a lecturer for a short while after I got married. When my children were born, I took a hiatus and when they started school, I underwent training in counselling and became a school counsellor.
In addition to this, I have also attained several other qualification in order to operate my family day care. I have a Diploma in Children's Services and Training Certificates in first aid, CPR, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), nutrition, as well as anaphylaxis and asthma management.
A Passion or Nurturing Young Ones
I love being with children. I adore the little ones and have built wonderful relationships with families whose children I have looked after in the past and am looking after now. I like to think of the day care children as part of my extended family, where we all must learn to work and play together. I feel that it is important that the children realize that if we are all going to be together each day then we need to have the same respect that we would have at home with our own siblings and parents. This means not leaving small toys on the floor when there is a baby in care, helping younger children, or waiting and taking turns.
Contact The Funhouse Family Day Care if you have any questions and/or wish to sign up your child. To send me a message, you may use the contact details or the enquiry form on this page. I look forward to hearing from you!
